Good question – and there could be a few reasons! When you pay for Express Shipping, you are paying for Australia Post to ship your order faster than Standard Post. It’s actually got nothing to do with us, and is all about them prioritising your order.
With that in mind, if your order is taking longer than you think it should, it could be because one of the following reasons:
- You have ordered during one of our peak times e.g. Christmas, Father’s Day, Mothers Day. This means we are working harder to get a higher volume of orders out the door to Aus Post. Your order might be delayed if there are other orders in front of yours that we need to get out the door first.
- You ordered a customisable product. We can’t just grab this off a shelf – we have to literally make it, and this does take us a bit longer. Especially if we have a high volume of custom products to make. Please be patient with our baboons, they are going as fast as they can without making mistakes.
- It’s a public holiday in Brisbane. Believe it or not, but Aus Post don’t do shipping on public holidays! So if you placed an order on a Friday or a weekend, you’re not going to get it on the Monday, or potentially the Tuesday. Please trust us to get it out the door to you as quick as possible.
- You live in a regional or remote area. It’s 2021, we agree this shouldn’t be an issue, but sometimes Aus Post can’t get your order to you in the time they promise they will – and we do notice this more with our remote customers. So if you’re about to get a barge from Darwin to Tiwi Island and need your order yesterday, it might just not be realistic
